First Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon SAARCLAW mooting competition and Law Students Conference
The first ever Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon SAARC mooting competition was held from 9th and 10th January, 2016 to select five best team from India to represent the country in SAARC Round. Teams from different universities and colleges across the country fought to capture the golden chance to represent the Nation. The mooting proposition for Indian round was themed on "Social Justice, Right to Privacy and Constitutionality of UID Scheme".

The SAARC Round of the SAARC Mooting Competition and Law Students Conference, 2015-16 was held from 3rd to 6th March, 2016 in which 14 teams from leading universities from SAARC nations participated. The moot proposition for SAARC Round was based on several aspects of international law including environmental law, law relating to refugees and diplomatic immunity. The final round was judge by 5 sitting judge of Hon'ble High Court of Delhi.

Runners Up: Kerala Law Academy, Trivandrum.
The SAARC Law Students Conference was organized parallel to the mooting competition (Asia round). It was an exercise designed at enhancing research, writing and presentation skills among the law students from SAARC countries. The conference was attended by 14 teams from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Research papers were submitted by the participants on the theme “Legal Education in SAARC Countries: Opportunities and Challenges”.
